First Trip to the Beach

On Saturday, we went to the beach. We were very eager to see Ewa's reaction because this was his first time. This trip has been planned for a long time but due some circumstances, we only managed to go to the beach last Saturday. As you all probably know, there are several beach located in Sanur, namely: Sanur beach itself, Sindhu beach, Semawang and several others. The beach we choose was Sindhu beach, because it is located near our house and it is the cleanest beach. Here are some pictures we took at the beach.

We just arrived at the beach, and already Ewa looked really comfortable with the sand.

"Hmmmm so this is what they called 'sands'".

"I need to put on my hat, the sun is getting high".

"Let's fill this bucket with sand, I want to show it to my sister".

"Oopsss this bucket has a hole in it, I forgot that".

"There are a few people in the water. Hey look, there are boats too."

Ewa and Lia New Hobby

Maybe its a hobby but you can also suspect its genetic. Because his mom and dad like everything to be clean and neat, so Ewa help them. "Hmmm... this kitchen looks really dirty, if mom or dad see this they would be very mad. I better clean this up before they arrive".

"Now that the kitchen is cleaned, let's get this broom back to where it belongs. I am sure my mom and dad will be surprised to see how clean the kitchen is. Maybe they will take me to Timezone? Yippieee, Timezone here I come. But before we go let's see what my sister Lia is doing right now."

"She seems surprised to see me. Hmmm, why is that?".

"Oh I see, she is playing with my toys. Well if you see a face like that would you be mad at her? Of course not, you can play with it as long as you want, little sister."

"Oh that is not food, maybe she's hungry. Where is Bibi? Bibi..."

News Update

Lia is now almost five months. She can flip herself now and she can laugh if we make funny faces. Most important is if she is asleep she always wakes up when she hears her father's or mother's voice. Can you believe it? I couldn't believe it either if I've not experienced it myself. Well maybe that is called parents and daughter bond. You can never see it but it will always be there.
Here are two latest pictures of Lia and Ewa. The first is Lia with her nanny. The second is from left to right, Ayu, Lia, Papa, Adek and Ewa.

Reswa: Bali Bersalju

Did you know that there is snow in Bali?

Of course it is not the real snow. It has to be artificial snow, because as you know Indonesia lies in the equator so we only have two seasons - wet and dry. "Bali Bersalju" is the title of the show, it is located in Central Park - Kuta Galeria. To get inside you have to pay for the ticket, for children under 5 years - Rp 30.000, above 5 years - Rp 40.000, adult - Rp 50.000, but for me it is free (lucky for me, because I didn't go inside). Once you pay the ticket you can borrow jackets, but for gloves and socks you have buy it there.

Before going inside, we took a picture in front of the poster. After we put on our jackets we went through a tunnel which was really futuristic.

Brrrr.... it's really cold, so we have to put on a mask to help us breathing. Let me help you recognizing the masked traveller, from left to right: Ayu, Mom, Mbok Luh and Nararya. Dad posing with Ayu, it I hadn't known better I would think that this picture is taken abroad.

Ayu posing in front of her birth sign - Libra. Here are the rest of the pictures...

This is a special sculpture of our nation's symbol - The Garuda.

If you're interested in going there, you better hurry because the show is only until the end of the month. Here is your chance to see what snow is like (if you haven't already knew), so what are you waiting for.

Testing

Just testing....
Last couple of days I haven't been able to post...
Each time I post only the title of the post can be seen...
For the rest it was gone...
Already post a question in Blogger forum, maybe somebody
can come up with an answer...

Note: this problem only happened if I use my computer,
so I guess it's not Blogger's fault

Aurelia: 3 Months Ceremony

Today I am exactly three months old - according to Balinese calendar -or 105 days.

The ceremony started at 3 pm. The holy priest came on
time because she has to go somewhere else to conduct another
ceremony. My ceremony coincided with the festival of money,
so the holy priest has a very busy schedule.

Before the ceremony, we took a picture. I was held by Mbok Luh and Ewa was with my mom.

The holy priest is preparing the offering, I really don't know how she could memorized all the words :)

This is the baby carriage.

I am ready for the ceremony, already changed my clothes with new ones. After we have been blessed by the holy priest we drank the holy water.

My mother has to trade me with what she was carrying. My mother put me in my baby carriage, and sang the song "rock a baby on a tree top...."

Aurelia: Aunt Yogi's Engagement

Yesterday was a very happy day for my aunt Yogi, because that's when uncle Tjok Wiwin proposed her.

Not proposed like in the movie, but more of an engagement ceremony. The actual ceremony started at 5 pm, but for us (the women's family) it started in the morning. We have to prepare the place: arranged the seats, clean the whole living room, prepared the catering and so on. These were some of the pictures which my dad and my uncle Goes Ary took.

This picture shows my mom's sisters and brother, from left to right: aunt Putri, aunt Yogi, mom, my mom's grandfather, uncle Agus and my grandfather.

Two pictures showing my brother Ewa posing with aunt Yogi and then mom. Ewa really loved to pose and he has a beautiful smile to. I bet lots of girl will go crazy about him. Hehehehehe, maybe I can take advantage there.

This is me, still has to be held in the arms. Can't move and always lying on the back of my shoulder.

Ooohhh I really need the rest. Pardon me if my mouth is open, it can show you how much energy I have lost.

At last, around 5 pm the guests arrived and welcomed by my grandmother, and some of my cousins.

On the left picture, uncle Tjok Wiwin (in the middle) and his father. The other guy is the spokesman for the family. On the right picture, my aunt Yogi is listening to the talking with here future mother in law, Prof. Suryani. The talking went smooth and on October the wedding ceremony will be held.
